Outfield Books is an independent publisher focused on LGBTQ+ sports fiction, championing bold, inclusive stories that centre underrepresented voices in sport.We believe that sport is for everyone, but the stories told about it haven’t always reflected that. Outfield Books was created to change that - by publishing fiction that explores identity, belonging, and ambition through the lens of sport.Our focus is on character-driven stories that are both engaging and authentic. From grassroots football to professional sport, we’re interested in narratives that reflect the real challenges and triumphs faced by LGBTQ+ athletes and communities.As a small independent press, we take a thoughtful and collaborative approach to publishing.
